Dorothy (Faunce) McKinnon, age 86, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Tuesday June 26, 2012. Dot was the beloved wife for 66 years of Walter McKinnon and is survived by her children, Walter “Wally” McKinnon and Richard McKinnon and his wife Barbara both of Weymouth, Leslie Lydon of Bridgewater and Nancy McKinnon and her partner Rebecca Robinson of Stetson, ME. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in Quincy and was raised in Quincy and Weymouth. She graduated from Weymouth High School and Fisher School. Dot was a Bookkeeper for Jeslyn Associates of Weymouth and Warner Sales She was an active member of the Weymouth Senior Citizens Center.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday June 30 from 12 to 4 P.M. immediately followed by the Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 4 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dot’s memory to the Weymouth Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 52, Weymouth, MA 02190.
