Muriel (Norris) MacLeish, age 80, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John D. MacLeish, her 2 children, John MacLeish Jr. and his fiancée Phoebe Asci of Interlachen, FL and Barbara Bickel and her husband Darrell of Hanson and her daughter in law, Ashley MacLeish of Plymouth, Muriel also leaves her sisters, Jacqueline Murray and Elaine Smith both of Weymouth, her brother Arthur Norris of Hingham and 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her 2 sons David and Bruce MacLeish and her 2 sisters Gail Norris and Virginia Pellegrini.
Muriel was born and lived in Weymouth her whole life and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1951.
She was a Sales Representative for Olan Mills Portrait Studios in Weymouth for 17 years and belonged to the Rebecca Lodge in Weymouth and the Odd Fellows in Weymouth.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Tuesday, June 11 at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday from 4to8 PM.
