Florence M. (Gibbs) Buzzell passed away on Saturday January 19, 2013 at the South Shore Hospital at the age of 93 Beloved wife of the late Robert C. Buzzell, Loving mother of Janet L. Giachetti of South Weymouth. Sister of Constance Nadell of Weymouth, Gloria Merrill of Dennis, Patricia Bartlett of Weymouth and the late Veda Eaton of Stoughton. Loving Grandmother of Joshua, Andrea, and Daniel Giachetti all of Weymouth. Also survived by her Great Grandchildren Savannah and Andie Rose and many nieces and nephews. Florence was born in Reading Mass and moved to Milford N.H. at a young age and attended schools in Milford. She moved to Weymouth in 1942 and has lived there for over 70 years. Florence was a crossing guard at the Union Street School for many years, she was a member of Old South Union Congregational Church, enjoyed playing Bingo and was a sports enthusiast. Gram’s was very devoted to her family. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 23, at Old South Union Congregational Church 25 Columbian St. South Weymouth at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donations be made to Old South Union Congregational Church Scholarship Fund 25 Columbian St. South Weymouth, Ma. 02190 Please note that due to family allergies no flower pieces be sent containing Lillies.
